Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
In June, the Friends of the Red Bank Public Library held their Annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. At the luncheon, Ms. Kathy Lou Colmorgen was named Volunteer of the Year!
Kathy Lou Colmorgen: Winner of the Friends 2017 "Volunteer of the Year" Award!
Kathy Lou has truly outdone herself this past year. A retired teacher, Kathy Lou volunteers weekly--when she's not traveling, that is. Her expertise is felt in all areas of the library. From shelving books in record time to training new volunteers, reorganizing shelves to planning programs, Kathy Lou has become indispensable. She lead the Historic Red Bank Walking Tour on our 80th Anniversary, shared memories of her father at Remember the Milkman? and has made many beautiful crocheted gifts for library raffle prizes, to name just a few. Linda presented Kathy Lou with a certificate, tote bag, and a monogrammed baseball cap at the luncheon as a token of appreciation from the Friends.
The Friends of the Red Bank Public Library was established in 2009 by a small, dedicated group of library lovers. Members share a belief in the important role our library plays in the life of the entire community, and work to support the library.
If you are interested in joining our group, fill out the form on the back of our Membership Brochure and give it to a library staff member at the Circulation Desk, or join through this link here. Memberships start at $15 per year. All library patrons are now eligible for our Museum Pass Program. You can reserve and check out a pass for four days. Most passes admit up to 4 guests. For more information, stop by the Circulation Desk.
